Located on Hasson Street, across from Price Public Community Center and the Swift Museum, Swift Park or Swift Mini Park as it was originally known was part of Swift Memorial Jr. College Campus.
Swift Memorial College was historically a place of higher learning for African Americans who came Swift for their education during the segregation era. The school operated in Rogersville from 1883 to 1952, and later as a segregated high school until it was purchased by the Hawkins County Board of Education (BOE) and demolished in the mid-1960s.
This five acres park has an outdoor basketball court, picnic shelter, playground area, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, open play area and a walking/ jogging trail.
